Types Of Tints

Dyed Window Tint

Metalized Window Tint

Carbon Window Tint

Features: Made from carbon fiber particles, does not contain metal.

Drawbacks: More expensive than dyed and metalized tints.

Ceramic Window Tint

Features: Uses nano-ceramic technology for superior heat rejection and UV protection.
Benefits: Best heat reduction, blocks UV rays, reduces glare, and doesn’t interfere with signals.
Drawbacks: Most expensive option.

Hybrid Window Tint

Features: A mix of dyed and metalized tint.

Crystalline Window Tint

Chameleon Tint

Features: Changes colors depending on lighting and viewing angles.

Tinting Laws For Different States

Visible Light Transmission (VLT%)

This refers to the percentage of light allowed through the window. Each state sets a legal limit for the front side windows, rear side windows, and rear windshield.

Windshield Tinting Restrictions

Most states only allow tinting on the top portion of the windshield (typically above the AS-1 line), and the darkness must meet state-approved standards.

Reflectivity Restrictions
